Summer camp weddings are forever cool in my book, but what I loved most about Madison and Peter’s wedding at Camp Foley was that the venue is near and dear to their hearts. Peter’s family owns the camp and it’s where he grew up. Their ceremony took place at the whimsical and rustic stone chapel in the woods. The reception was casual and laid back with wood fire pizza, good beer on tap. The evening ended with a sparkler exit.Read More

When LaCresia and Mary reached out to me to photograph their engagement session they wanted something casual, natural, and completely them. They welcomed me into their adorable Minneapolis home with warm embraces and hot tea. I got to know them and hear about their sweet love story as they cuddled on the couch and reminisced about when they met and how they fell in love. We then ventured out into the crisp early spring, and took their rescue pup on a walk to the Minnehaha park.Read More

Ryan proposed to Erika on a snowy mountain top in Norway. Continuing with the theme of their proposal Erika knew she wanted a winter wedding. After years spending as many summer weekends as possible at their family cabin on Crosslake, they decided to host their wedding at one of the places the love most, up north. Pine Peaks was the perfect setting for their whimsical December wedding.Read More
When I first pulled up to the cute little red cabin nestled in a cozy corner on ten mile lake I immediately felt the rush of nostalgia from my childhood summers spent at my grandparents’ cabin on lake le homme dieu in Alexandria, MN. When Johnna first contacted me to photograph her and Adam’s engagement photos she mentioned the importance of incorporating their cabin in Hackensack. Growing up, Adam spent most of his summers and weekends up north at his families cabin. He talked about how it’s the one place where he feels most at home and he couldn’t envision getting married anywhere else other than the north woods of Minnesota.
Johnna and Adam started the engagement shoot out with coffee and cuddling by the fireplace while reminiscing about their first date and favorite trips around the world together. One of my favorite stories was hearing how Adam proposed to Johnna in Iceland.
We then ventured out to the lake and walked along the dock. And ended the session with a walk in the woods. It was the quintessential fall engagement session in northern Minnesota.Read More

Karah and Blake’s romantic barn wedding at Creekside Farm in Rush City, Minnesota.
I don’t even know how to begin describing Karah & Blake’s wedding day at Creekside Farm. I hate the word perfect, but when I think back to their Minnesota barn wedding it seems to be the first word that comes to mind. The bridesmaids, were gorgeous, wearing simple all white dresses. Who doesn’t love a wedding that serves Mexican food and margaritas for dinner? They had all the right things for an epic party; from the cigar bar to the s’mores and bonfire at the end of the night. Their sweet July wedding day ended with a sparkler first dance at sunset.Read More
Sabrina & Knute’s boho chic wedding at the NP Event Space.
I find myself at a loss of words, as no narration can describe the beauty and emotion of this day. Sabrina & Knute are truly two of the most genuine and seriously just down right FUN human beings I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Side note. When your wedding takes place in a 200 year old warehouse and your reception includes a cigar bar, mini slider burgers for dinner, a live band, and the most beautiful hanging floral instillations you know it's going to be one hell of an awesome day.Read More

“Our relationship is one that keeps getting better and better with time. Things are really easy with us, he's my best friend”, Bekah wrote to me, when describing her relationship with Brett. I instantly knew I wanted to photograph these two. Throughout the months of swapping emails back and forth Bekah mentioned her love for craft beer. So, naturally we met up at one of my favorite local Breweries, Big Axe in Nisswa, before heading out to Fritz Loven Park. Bekah and Brett are so silly and just down right fun together. They had me laughing, with them, throughout their entire engagement session.Read More
